Divine Necromancy

Canticles in long dead tounges
resounding once again.
Chantings echo down the slopes
of mountains shunned by men.
Graves - they open.
Followers of him, the sleeping
dead god, gather ’round
the place where once an altar
to the ancient ones was found.
Fleeting in the dark, wraiths beyond the limit,
summoned by the spark, chanted at the summit.
Raising the knife, sanctified to slaughter,
taking a life for the one below the water.
Read aloud from books forgotten by the human race,
paeans to the one that sleeps in maritime embrace
keeping him alive in death until the spells give way,
spells that keep the priest of ancient deities at bay.
Fleeting in the dark, wraiths beyond the limit.
Summoned by the spark, chanted at the summit.
Raising the knife, sanctified to slaughter,
taking a life for the one below the water.
Canticles in long dead tounges
resounding once again.
Chantings echo down the slopes
of mountains shunned by men.
Read aloud from books forgotten
by the human race,
paeans to the one that sleeps
in maritime embrace.
Fleeting in the dark, wraiths beyond the limit,
summoned by the spark, chanted at the summit.
Giving him breath, feeding him the victim.
His demise of death is real and not a dictum.
Raising the knife, sanctified to slaughter,
taking a life for the one below the water.

Arcane Secrets

Vague, lightless was the vision
forced through my fractured soul.
Dark whispers warped cognition,
gaunt longings seized control.
I was eaten by a yearning,
seeking old, forbidden learning.
I was delving deep into
a somber, hidden lore,
seeking out the twisted, rotten,
maggot-eaten, long forgotten
cryptic tomes of sickly knowledge
mankind must abhor.
I see him loom, I wrought our doom.
The one who hides
behind the yellow silken mask.
The Magnum Innominandum.
After days of chanting manic,
I was drowned in scorching panic
when the one I’d summoned
with unlawful tongue arrived,
speaker for the voiceless screaming,
he who’d whispered in my dreaming.
How I wish my feeble mortal frame
had not survived.
Strange were the wonders that I’d come upon,
high was the price for the wisdom I’d won.
Dark were the beings he broke from their bind,
dead was the god that swallowed my mind.
I became unhinged at seeing that repulsive, vicious being.
Monstrous is too small a word to paint just what I saw,
and I would regret forever the success of my endeavor.
I could only stand and watch with horror-ridden awe.
Black was entity I had released,
he, the nefarious primordial priest.
Foul is the spirit whose master is blind,
yellow the mask he was hiding behind.
Soon comes the time
when our race is destroyed,
when he arrives from the listening void.
I am at fault for the horror that came,
naming the one that no one must name.

Crossing the Abyss

When you ascend your race will win,
another era will begin.
When you arrive our world will fold.
Come, reinforce your stranglehold.
Tear apart your prison,
dissolve the cursing seal.
When you’ve at last arisen
this star-crossed world will kneel.
Break the binding chains somehow,
the way lies unobstructed now.
Enter through the cosmic gate
and end the anguish of our wait.
Upon your return,
let the old ways burn.
Beyond the horizon of time
I see another paradigm.
Your essence, your presence
will wither our affliction.
Your arrival, our survival,
the end of dereliction.
When the spell has set you free,
assert your full divinity.
Rise again with all your might,
plunge mankind in endless night.
And render in splendour
the end of isolation,
begetting the setting
for endless domination.
Fly across the shackling sea
and end this world’s idolatry.
Come to claim what is your due,
rule this feeble world anew.
And render in splendour
the end of isolation,
begetting the setting
for endless domination.
Bestow upon our puny kind,
when your lineage has twined
from ancient Yuggoth to this land
the rule or havoc of your hand.
The soil beneath our feet will sink
and on your advent we shall drink
from untold wells of boundless fear.
I can see this dawn is near.
Upon your return,
let the old ways burn.
Beyond the horizon of time
I see another paradigm.
Your essence, your presence
will wither our affliction.
Your arrival, our survival,
the end of dereliction.
Descending, unending
sepulchral ancient paeans.
Awaken, Forsaken,
and end the stranger eons.
