lyrics

Marching from beyond the horizon,
beneath a glowing sky, pale as a wraith.
Herded by an unseen force into
the final abattoir for flesh and faith.

They all will be devoured and transcend.
And now, their hollow sermons end.

Within a cavernous mouth a cryptic portal lies,
it opens up for them, a gulf like nightly skies.

Row after row after row after row,
shivering vermin are walking aghast
into the bellowing pit down below,
into a misery, ageless and vast.

Writhing in a void without horizon
beneath a staring sky, black as coal.
Anguish and dread without solace.
And grief grows into each eternal soul.

The bleakest rapture’s taken them beyond
into a place their myths did not portend.
Where boundless forms of suffering are spawned
in an existence that will have no end.

He lets the tortured, twisting beings fill
his blind, ecstatic and perpetual gaze.
And without end, within his palace will
their ageless souls forever be ablaze.

As aeons pass, their memories
of their humanity will pale.
They will become his diocese,
who live and suffer to regale.
The bleakest rapture’s here for them at last.
They all will be devoured and transcend.
The vile, abundant liars are amassed,
and now, their hollow sermons end.
