in pangs of agony.
The throes of endless pain distort
their last humanity.

A glow of pallid fire looms
by their discordand shrills.
A chasmal gaping mouth consumes
their bodies and their wills.

Their crying, a work of choral art.

Descending shadows clawed asunder from inside.
Phantasmal horror that no living comprehends,
where blighted souls in woe forever will abide.
A dream where grief and mutilation never ends.

Cascading torsos sailing through
the heavens’ black opaque
from fountains streaming flesh into
a scarlet, screaming lake.

Beside, a field where limbs ablaze,
half-buried wildly twist.
Cadavers burn for endless days,
but pain and life persist.

Their crying, a work of choral art.
Undying, yet always torn apart.
